good quote "Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."

P90X Transformation When I was younger, which is probably the same for everyone, I was in extremly good shape. I had been active in the martial arts for many years and was of the mind set that I would remain that way since I loved working out, I loved the martial arts, and life was good. Later, I became married and had an ex-wife that did not support nor make me feel good about wanting to stay in shape. Also, trying to build a new family was stressful, and the job I had at the time was in a restaurant. Although the food was great, I ended up gaining 40lbs in the year+ that I worked there. Ultimately, it was my fault but had gained from 180lbs to 220lbs. I remember not long after weighing myself at 226 and realizing that I was gaining weight. I had not worked out in ages.

After my divorce, I was single so I went out alot, excelled in my job and committed myself to raising my daughter. I had gotten up to 235lbs and felt I had had enough. I live in the third story of an apartment complex and walking up the stairs I had often gotten winded. I worked out but didn't change my diet while also frequenting the bar every few weeks. Although, I lost 10lbs, the food I was eating often dragged me down and my job also demanded an unpredictable schedule.

Finally, after being remarried and getting up to 270lbs, I had really had enough. Another tramatic experience finally told me it was time to clean up and get back into shape. I stopped going to the bar, got remarried and had a son, along with my daughter, two kids. I did research into many different diets and found Volumetrics to help me eat right. I later found the P90X workout system and haven't gone back. I'm down to 200lbs as of Feb 2008 and still going.

I'm currently developing a more in depth website in order to help others lose weight. I think for people who get heavier or as heavy as I did have a problem with getting to the point where they can do something like P90X. As soon as I release it, I'll post it here but yes, this is yet another way to lose weight that may or may not fit for you. In the meantime, if you're interested in starting the programs that I have, click on this link and sign up for a free account where you can order any of the products that I use to get and stay in shape.
